Are you ready to explore Athens from above? Don’t worry, you won’t need to board a plane but instead enjoy a hike from one hill to the other with an expert guide to enjoy this tour.
Our friendly, professional mountain guide will walk with you through the city’s highlights whilst helping you to spot dramatic scenes that many visitors miss.
We will start our hike by climbing up Mount Lycabettus, also known as Lycabettos Hill. Standing 277 meters above sea level, Lycabettus Hill is the highest point of Athens. From the top (weather permitting) you can see as far afield as Aegina island! After all, the myth says that the hill was created by the Goddess of wisdom Athena.
Next, we will venture into the city passing by most of the city’s landmarks. Admire the temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium- the stage of the first Modern Olympic Games, Hadrian’s arch, the Odeon of Herodus Atticus, and the Acropolis museum.
Admire from below the extremely photogenic Acropolis of Athens and one of the most popular sites and sights in the world, the iconic Parthenon!
We will move on to the hill of the Areopagus. The Areopagus is a prominent rock outcropping located northwest of the Acropolis in Athens. In classical times, this was the site of the Council of Nobles and the Judicial Court, which mainly dealt with homicide. From here, admire the ancient sights and especially the Ancient Agora, which is located just underneath it.
Finally, we will make our way to the Hill of the Nymphs. This small hill about 100 meters in height, is located to the north point of the green area making up the south west area of the Acropolis
During our tour, we will have a stop for a much-needed energy drink from organic local vegetables and fruit.
By the end of our tour, you will have explored the most interesting parts of the city while exercising.

Ms. Joan Eden. from USA travelled on 14 Sep 2019:
Words cannot describe how thrilled I was with my experience. Not only did we see some of the most famous, iconic photography spots in Athens, but also hidden treasures within the city that many tourists don’t get to see. Along the way, we discussed the city’s history and culture, giving me greater insight and appreciation for the city. If you love excersizing and walking this is the best tour for you! It’s a fun and different way to experience and learn about Athens.
